1895 born on May 13 in Shizuoka City.
1916 graduated from Tokyo Higher Technical School (Tokyo Institute of Technology)
1929 his first work Shakushinamon Kabekake (wall drape) won the Kokugakai Prize.
1939 went to Okinawa and improved on Bingata and other dyeing techniques with stencil.
1956 designated as a "Living National Treasure".
1967 designated as an "Honorary citizen of Shizuoka City".
1976 designated as "Person of Cultural Merit". Exhibition "SERIZAWA" at the Grand Palais in Paris.
1981 opened his museum Serizawa Keisuke Art Museum in Shizuoka City.
1983 received "The Contributor to the Arts" Award from the French goverment.
1984 passed away at the age of 88 on April 5.
