Shigeo Uezu potter in Okinawa

The time has passed so quickly from I came back from Okinawa.But,all my good memories with people and ceramics,I want to share with you in this blog.
Here is some pictures when I visited SHIGEO Pottery (Potter Mr.Shigeo Uezu) in Okinawa in last december.

Mr.Shigeo Uezu famous potter in Okinawa with more than 40 working years with ceramics.

That's my favorite dishes made by Mr.Uezu (up and middle one)

Not agressive style.You can feel his long experience as potter in Okinawa from his ceramics.

I bought some items from his stock this time like vase,some small dishes etc.But we hopefully present you his okinawa style tea-pot "ambin" and dishes soon !

The ceramic market at Kita pottery is held every december.That's my main reason to come this timing.

Mr.Masataka Miyagi,potter from Kita pottery.Shy but his ceramics are so dynamique as Okinawa nature.

Mr.Kyoshi Matsuda,potter from Kita pottery.His ceramics are so modern but based on Okinawa tradition.

Mr.Yoneshi Matsuda,poter from KITA.All conversations with him,I wanted to note.Such a great men.With him,we feel that everybody is family and team.He is a elder blother of Mr.Kyoshi Matsuda.His ceramics are also modern and intelligent and so warm as his personality.
